Hobak jeon (pan-fried Korean zucchini) is one of my favorite Korean side dishes! I never fully appreciated this banchan until I learned the difference between Korean zucchini and regular zucchini. They are similar, but Korean zucchini is much better for hobak jeon!

This particular squash is called ae-hobak. There are a few different ways you can make jeon with it, as well as some stir-fried side dishes.

Date day photo dump from a few weeks ago. Morning cuddles with our 🐶 babies, then took them to the vet for a routine checkup. My husband made me mad on this day so he took me to eat gopchang (my fav!) to make up for it 🤣

We had SO many leftover wing tips from testing the Korean Fried Chicken recipe!

I’m using most of them to make a chicken stock but here’s a little snack you can make out of them as well.

I LOVE wing tips! They are totally edible, including most of the bones! It’s kinda like chicharrones.

I lightly seasoned them with salt, pepper, and cayenne but you can use whatever you want. They don’t need that much seasoning since it’s a lot of skin.

If you air fry them at 390 for 35-40 minutes, everything but the bone at the joint is edible. But if you roast these at 375 for about an hour and a half, you can eat the entire thing.

Made a little side of guacamole since chicharrones and guac are tending rn!

Mastering Korean fried chicken has been one of my top priorities, and I can confidently say that this is THE ONE! This KFC is tender, flavorful, with a thin & CRISPY batter, and covered in a sweet & spicy yangnyeom sauce that is finger-lickin’ good 😋

We ate SO many chicken wings trying to get this right! It took me quite a while to get the results I wanted because chicken wings are not cheap, and I simply cannot eat fried food for several days on end. This has been a long process in the making, and I’m glad its finally over 😅😂

YOU GUYS. I have finally mastered Korean fried chicken‼️ The recipe is coming very soon, but first you’ll need to make chicken mu!

Any time I order Korean fried chicken, I make sure to ask for extra mu. If I’m making Korean friend chicken at home, I also make sure to have plenty of mu.

It cuts through the fat from frying the chicken in oil, and the flavor combination is just perfect! It doesn’t matter whether you are eating plain Korean fried chicken, soy sauce glazed, or sweet & spicy- having it with mu is a MUST!

Okay maybe I didn’t “forget” to post Korea content, I just got too lazy to edit lol my bad!

If you’re traveling to Busan, PLEASE get some dwaeji gukbap! This is similar to seolleongtang (ox bone soup), except it’s the pork version. One of my favorite comfort dishes ever!

This spot is called Jamae Gukbap (Sisters Gukbap). Take subway line 1 to Millak.
